About CYTI
Born in 1986 in Belgium, in a family where music is vital, surrounded by pop-rock and "classical music" (contemporary, barrocco, chamber music... classical as a large description). I discovered electronic music in the mid '90 with dance compilations (sash, 2fabiola... and later silver, scooter...). I began making music by playing violin and then viola. I then discovered DanceEjay in a toy magazine for kids and received it as a gift for St Nicolas, it was my first approach of electronic music production and I was around 10-12years old... Some years after I was learning about music by buying Computer Music magazine and I discovered Fruity Loops (at this time it was v.1.5 or something like that, very basic tracker but very nice looking even at this state of developpement) and I quickly switched to this program as it was realy more creative than just putting loops in a playlist... At this point I was going to have the opportunity to make real melodies comming from my head and not someone else's and it made a big big difference in the developpement of my skills. I then bought Fruity Loops and since then have life-time free updates (yes it's sometimes useful to buy software) and I'm now working on v.7 of FL Studio (the name changed since v.6). For the little story I wanted to support FL for 2 big reasons: 1° It's not expensive compared to the competitors ant it can make your songs sounds professionnal if you know how to use it (despite some pre-done ideas) 2° FL is done by belgian people and it's nice to have a so good piece of software made by poeple of my country (not a lot of people knows about it). Having done loads of different styles of music like trance, techno, drum&bass, breakbeats, breakcore, dubstep... I now quite naturaly mix everything to make something new, not realy descriptible as even two songs won't sounds the same style so... just listen and make your own idea about my music, and enjoy, have fun or at least I expect you'll ;-)
